The Williamsburg Winery Tours and Tastings

All guests, age 21 and over, receive a Tour & Wine Tasting at the Williamsburg Winery. The tour includes a video presentation on grape growing and winemaking, a tour of the barrel cellar and production area. Our museum offers collection of unique and rare vintage wine bottles. The tour finishes off with a tasting of seven of wines in an etched wine glass that is yours to take home as a keepsake.

Guests at Wedmore Place may also upgrade their regular Tour & Wine Tasting to a Reserve Tour and Tasting. This special offer allows you to sample and compare some of the reserve wines produced at the winery with selected vintages from the cellar library collection. Reserve Tours are offered daily at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm with an advance reservation. Assorted cheese and crackers will complement your personalized tasting and you will receive an oversized etched reserve wine glass to commemorate your tasting.

Accommodations at Wedmore Place

Each of our 28 rooms is decorated in the style of a different European province, from the colors to the furnishings and wall hangings. Each room has a fireplace, king size beds and plush bathrobes. The style of each room reflects not only a different geographical region of Europe but also different periods of history. The Corinthian room inspired by classic Greece features a large marble statue, Corinthian columns, large white ceramic tiling on the floor. To  The rustic room recalling the Shakespearean times with a four poster bed and brick red walls and dark wood floors inspire the Cotswold room.

Tradition Rooms - Our "Tradition" Rooms, located under the eaves on the upper level, feature rustic furnishings and antiques. All have wood-burning fireplaces, king size beds and antique working desks.

Classic Rooms - Each of the 12 different Classic rooms have a wood-burning fireplace, antiques and tapestries, king size bed, luxurious bed linens, antique working desk, comfortable robes, satellite televisions, wireless internet connections and hair dryers in all of the bathrooms.

Superior Rooms - All rooms are elegantly appointed with antiques and reproductions, king size beds and wood-burning fireplaces, ranging in size from 326 sq. ft. to 430 sq. ft. All rooms have high speed internet access, plush bathrobes and views of the forest and meadowlands surrounding The Williamsburg Winery. Superior rooms are larger corner rooms each with a wood-burning fireplace, period antiques, luxurious bed linens, bath robes, hair dryers and satellite television. All rooms are elegant yet comfortable and relaxing.

Suites ÌÎå´Ì´å Suites are located on the corners of the main floor and the upper, and provide more space than a our other rooms. All have king size beds, separate sitting rooms with wood burning fireplaces.

• Tuscany Suite ÌÎå´Ì´åover 500 square feet with separate sitting room, open hearth fireplace and a large tapestry on the wall painted in traditional Tuscan colors.
• Aquitaine Suite - over 700 Sq. Ft. of classic French elegance with a large sitting room decorated with an 11ÌÎå´ÌÎÌÊ x 14ÌÎå´ÌÎå fresco and fireplace. Overlooks the pool terrace.
• Venetian Suite ÌÎå´Ì´å Our largest suite with over 1100 sq. ft. of space divided between the sitting room and the bedroom situated on the loft overlooking the sitting room decorated in traditional Italian elegance.

Walking -Wedmore Place is surrounded by acres of woods and vineyards. Hike through the more than 2 miles of trails around the property or head to the Colonial Parkway for an historic adventure.

Biking Trails and Routes have been charted around the property starting at 1 mile as well as surrounding areas of up to 7 miles for the more serious cyclist.

Wedmore Place has over 1,000 square feet of meeting space split into two adjoining conference with windows overlooking the woods.  Our conference rooms are decorated in the fashion of old medieval castles and the main conference room features a wood burning fire place.
