World-Class Skiing and Snowboarding

At Moonlight Lodging, you'll experience what less-fortunate ski enthusiasts only dream about- uncluttered, uncrowded slopes! Our resort features plenty of terrain options and plenty of elbow room. When combined with Big Sky, our region claims the Biggest Skiing in America—up to 5,512 acres. Our resort’s 7 lifts service trails that are suitable for a wide range of skiing abilities.

Moonlight Basin is home to
Zero Gravity Terrain Park and Zero Gravity Pony Park. These areas feature Freestyle Terrain, which is defined as areas dedicated to terrain parks or terrain features and may include jumps, hits, ramps, fun boxes, jibs and rails.

If you're new to the slopes, then take advantage of Moonlight Basin's lauded
Ski School. Adults and children are welcome, and group and private lessons are available. Our convenient Beginner Package bundles a lift ticket, rental, and lesson together. Moonlight Basin also offers Specialty Programs (Free Riding, Skiiwees- 3-4yr olds) and Adaptive Lessons for guests with physical/developmental disabilities.

A Golf Course (Literally) Fit For The Pros

The Reserve at Moonlight Basin is a private, par-72 golf course blended into a one-of-a-kind alpine setting. All 8,000 yards of this Jack Nicklaus Signature Course were designed with respect for Montana’s unique outdoor character. Creeks meander the natural contours of the course, while ancient rock formations and pine groves frame many of the holes.

The Reserve’s prime location at 7,200 feet sends
golf balls soaring 2% farther for each 1,000 feet of sea level. Balls aren’t the only thing going longer here; The Reserve also offers the longest playing season of any private course in the Big Sky area.
